A story of ordinary people doing extraordinary things — for children, women, animals, and communities across New Delhi.
Akshay Sharma AVS Charity is a registered social welfare and animal welfare organization headquartered at Kirti Nagar Industrial Area, New Delhi. We exist because we believe that compassion should never be a luxury — it should be the default.
Since our inception, we have been on the ground in Delhi's neighborhoods — listening to people, understanding their struggles, and acting without delay. Whether it's a child who needs school supplies, a stray dog that needs medical care, or a woman who needs legal support — we show up.
"Welfare isn't a word we use lightly. For us, it's a daily commitment to showing up for those who need it most — human and animal alike."
Based in Kirti Nagar, New Delhi, our reach extends across the city. But our roots remain local — because we know Delhi's communities intimately, and that knowledge guides everything we do. Connect Akshay Sharma Kirti Nagar now!
We are guided by a clear purpose — to build a Delhi where no one suffers alone, and no life goes uncared for.
To serve the most vulnerable members of Delhi's society — children, women, cancer patients, and stray animals — through direct, compassionate, and sustainable welfare programmes. We operate from Kirti Nagar and reach across New Delhi to ensure no one is left behind.
We combine community engagement, medical outreach, legal awareness, and animal rescue to create holistic change in the lives we touch every day.Learn more Akshay Sharma AVS Holiday mission .
A New Delhi where every child grows up safe and educated, every woman walks with confidence and opportunity, every cancer patient receives timely support, and every stray animal is treated with dignity.
We envision a city where social welfare and animal care go hand in hand — because a compassionate society doesn't draw the line at species.
"I started this not as a mission — but as a response. I saw need. I could not look away."
Years ago, Akshay Sharma — then a young professional in Kirti Nagar, New Delhi — witnessed something that changed everything. A stray dog lay injured near a busy road. People walked by. No one stopped. That moment planted a seed.
But it didn't stop with animals. Akshay began to see how many communities in Delhi were invisible to the system — children with no access to schools, women with no legal voice, families crushed under the weight of cancer diagnoses they didn't know how to face.
So he started showing up. With a small team of equally passionate volunteers, Akshay organized the first community health camp in Kirti Nagar. Then came the first animal rescue. Then the first women's skill workshop. Each effort grew organically — not from funding, but from trust that was earned on the ground.
Today, Akshay Sharma leads an organization that has touched over 5,000 lives across New Delhi. The journey has been humbling, exhausting, and deeply meaningful. And it's far from over.
These are not just words on a wall. They are the principles that govern every decision, every rescue, every programme we run.
We do not ask who deserves help. Everyone does. We serve across religion, caste, gender, and species — because suffering doesn't discriminate.
Every rupee donated, every programme run — we document it. Our community deserves to know exactly how their trust is being honored.
We don't just provide immediate relief. We build systems that empower communities to sustain themselves long after we've moved forward.
We are not outsiders coming in to fix problems. We are insiders — part of Kirti Nagar and New Delhi — working alongside the communities we serve.
When an animal is in pain or a family is in crisis — time matters. We act swiftly, decisively, and without unnecessary bureaucracy.
Animals cannot speak for themselves. We are their voice in Delhi — running the animal welfare helpline and rescue operations across the city.
Delhi is home to hundreds of thousands of stray animals. According to various surveys, the city's stray dog population alone runs into the hundreds of thousands — and many of these animals suffer from injury, disease, and hunger on a daily basis.
When Akshay Sharma began its welfare animal operations in Delhi, we saw a clear gap: citizens wanted to help but didn't know where to call. They searched "welfare animal near me" or "animal welfare number Delhi" online, and often found no reliable answer.
We decided to fill that gap. Our animal welfare programme in Delhi now includes:
